Tahu slowed the ship down to a crawl and then stopped it. The large gas planet rotated in front of them like a sleeping drunk. The moons wobbled around it, not like they belonged but instead stumbled over. The lopsided way they moved showed the strange gravity of the planet.
“Why are there so many frills? Alistair looked down at his chest and arms and felt the frills at his throat from whatever undershirt they had given him. The fact that they were frilled at the cuffs didn’t help matters.
Alison was on her knees, too tired to float. Her hair fell around her face as she panted to the ground. Shaking she looked up toward Vayne who was walking toward her. “Come on. Is that really the extent of your power? I thought you were stronger than this.”
“So. We have two of them now.”
The sky overhead had turned a deep orange as Alistair and Morrigan road. The grass was splotchy at best where they were going. Morrigan had been silent since Alistair joined her. She tried to argue against him going but not long. She didn’t want to waste time and she knew the look in his eye.
The smoke was clogging worse than the smell of the burning demon on the ground. Their blood was very flammable which was a shock between both the Sanguiknight and the twin. Morrigan helped Alistair back to his feet who stumbled and leaned against her for support.
“You want to do what?” “We want to fight the mob,” Ya’Cahin repeated and Jenny stared at her just trying to process the repeated statement her captain kept saying like it made sense.
