The sky was blackish blue with fleks of white. I could count off a few of the constellations form memory. Orions belt. The big dipper. The little dipper. It was so pretty from down here. My book was lying on my chest and I sighed as the grass tickled the back of my neck.

I take back what I said about getting the hang of this. Not being able to see my feet on stairs in the dark was hell.

We slowed down, spiraling around the smoke. I could hear gunfire and even more explosions. These were smaller than that first one and had a metallic ring to them.
