Terran Knights 3: Chapter 48

“Alright everyone. Let’s go over the plan one more time,” Marco said standing up and looking at the assembled knights, past and present, and their celestial friend. The thirteen gathered and Kathryn came forward first.

“We’ve got a lock on Kalcoa. Getting there is going to be a pain to do but thanks to Ley and Marco we can teleport there,” she said. “The issue is going to be landing on the one patch of land. It’s too small for us to aim there with what we have on us. Even with Ley it’ll be difficult. Kalcoa’s a piece of work of a planet.”

“But that’s where we come in,” Alice said and she was holding a steel box. “This is the old dampening box that you were making to hide your crystal. With parts from our ship we’ve managed to reverse engineer it into a GPS. Instead of hiding the signal its going to lock in on to it and assuming that Legion is on that patch of land, we’ll get there.”

“That’s a lot assuming on our part. How sure are you?” Owen asked.

“Sure enough,” Alice replied. “Me and Kathryn worked on it for the last three days straight. It’ll work.”

“Kat’s good with alien tech,” Marco said chuckling her way.

Alice nodded and looked at everyone again, “Once we activate it. Marco can lock in on it and then teleport us there.”

“Once we’re there it’s one of two things,” Sarah said. “If we don’t find Legion initially then we’re going to spread out and do recon. Stay in groups of two to three and not be alone. The moment we find something or hear something we sound off and group up immediately. No getting caught alone.”

“But if we do find something, we get ready for a bit fight,” Seth said. “I think I was in the front line of the formation?”

“That’s if we find an army,” Jenny commented. “Pretty sure it blew up all of the army it brought with from the future.”

“If we’re going off the last time, Legion has another army. Remember those fake Taq-Law?” Gen pointed out.

“And the big one from Paris did get zapped out. Think they’re related?” Sarah asked.

Cal shrugged, “Wouldn’t surprise me if they were.”

“Yeah so let’s be ready for anything,” Marco said folding his arms. “The front line of the group is going to be Alice, Owen, Gen and Sarah. You guys are the wrecking crew taking down as many of Legion’s bodies as possible.”

“After that it’s the reactionary team,” Ya’Cahin said. “Jenny, Seth, Kathryn, and Jack. Your job is to run interreference and keep your eyes out. If you see something going south, get there and fix it before it goes bad. If you see something coming our way, get in front of it and call it out. The last thing we need to do is get bogged down by some crazy monster it possessed.”

“No problem,” Jack smirked. “You can count on us.”

“Fine by me,” Gen remarked.

“I’d rather be hitting things but I guess having shields makes me better on that end,” Seth made a grumpy face.

“Being defensive isn’t that bad Violet,” Kathryn pat him on the shoulder.

“Sure. I’ll take your word for it.”

“That leaves myself, Marco and the captain correct?” Rizier asked.

“We’ll be in the back and in the center,” Marco noded. “We don’t want to be caught if we get surrounded. “Our job is to keep an eye out for the crystal and even more so Legion. Legion has been cocky enough to show their face to us numerous times now. If it does it again we’ll find it and isolate it.”

“Between the three of us we need to find Legion’s consciousness or force it out. And once it has we trap it in that body. And once it’s trapped bring it down,” Ya’Cahin smirked.

“But we still have to be careful,” Rizier raised their hands. “The crystal is likely empowering Legion. The individual bodies they command will be stronger. We also don’t know if they have been able to locate their past self and absorb them.”

Ley looked at them, “As far as I have been able to sense and tell, the Legion of this time is still alive and dormant. Growing yes but not the problem or threat that you know it to be.”

“We’ll cross that bridge if and when we come to it,” Marco said then looked at everyone.  “The eleven of us have been through hell. All sorts of it. And we’ve been through even more thanks to Legion. This is going to be very very dangerous. Do not let your guards down. We are not going to lose anyone else. We take this thing down and we come home in one piece! We’re knights right?”

Everyone shouted agreement and pumped their arms in the air. Marco raised his hand and flourished as his stone appeared in his hand. The Celestial Knights did the same thing. The Astro Knights put one hand behind their backs and raised their gloved hands to the sky.

Marco smiled as he looked at all of them, his face bathed in red light, “And what do knight’s do everybody?”

As one they said, “We go to work!” In one massive rainbow of light the temple was engulfed. And once it died down eleven knights stood, their armor bright.

Marco spun his gun across his finger, “Celestial Knight One, Red!”

Sarah flipped both axes and caught them, “Celestial Knight Two, Yellow!”

Kathryn twirled her staff above her head, “Celestial Knight Three, Blue!”

Seth held his shields swiped his shields forward, “Celestial Knight Four, Purple!”

Owen punched his fists together, “Celestial Knight Five, Pink!”

Jack brandished his scythe, “Celestial Knight Six, Green!”

Gen stood beside Owen and got in her stance, “Celestial Knight Seven, Black!”

Ya’Cahin cocked her gun “Astro Knight, Red Fire!”

Jenny drew back her bow, “Astro Knight, Yellow Thunder!”

Alice swung her machete, “Astro Knight, Black Earth!”

Rizier raised all of their arms with the wind, “Astro Knight, Green Wind!”

Marco raised his gun, spinning the barrel until it landed on red. “Let’s go to work Terran Knights!” He fired and they vanished in a flash of red light.

Cal shielded his eyes and when the light faded, they were gone. He looked toward Ley for a moment and he could see the concern on their face. Cal looked at the sky and could just see the trail of their colors leaving the planet, “Good luck guys.”
